STRASBOURG……WHAT ELSE?

I have studied in Strasbourg between August 2015 and April 2016, attending all the courses proposed by the Master in Finance at EM Strasbourg Business School. I lived in an apartment in Residence La Marne, in front of the EM building, extremely confortable. The level of the courses I attended was really good, especially in the second semester, in which all the themes faced in deep were new and really stimulating. Also, what I appreciated more was the high degree of dialogue between students and Professors: in classrooms there was the total freedom to exchange opinions and ideas, and not merely to listen what teachers were saying.

The European influences I could breathe are the second markable point. The proximity to European Institutions gave me the possibility to attend the events promoted by them, as the official visit of the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella at the European Parliament.

Also, the city is in a really strategical position. Strasbourg is separated by Germany just by the Rhine River, and it is also close to Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg and Netherlands: in my free weekends I could visit all of them, thanks also to the cheap and easy transportation systems that connect them.

As last, Strasbourg is simply wonderful, embedded into the nature and with lovely streets and buildings; but the most, for sure, is the Cathedral, that is something unic. The city is totally suitable for the bike, with many cycle paths till Germany, so……what are you waiting for?

I had an amazing experience over the last year at EM Strasbourg during my Master in Finance. Looking back, I have learned a lot academically, solidified my finance foundation and improved my soft skills by working with many people coming from all over the World. Even though I had a finance related background prior to coming to EM Strasbourg, some classes have given me a more practial approach and a more ethical way of perceiving finance. I have learned how to apply the theories through case studies and projects. I have also learned how to deal and work with pressure and many deadlines, very useful to be ready to the working environment. I developed close relationships with my classmates and made life-long friends. Overall, I would highly recommend this program to everyone with the willingness to learn and the curiosity to take part of this great experience!
