Kevin Mac Gabhann is the new elected Executive Director of the HERMES-Universities Network of Dual Degree partners worldwide and the Director of International Relations at the EM Strasbourg Business School, University of Strasbourg in France.
Kevin Mac Gabhann was born and raised in Dublin. He studied and worked in Ireland, the United States, Japan and France. Kevin obtained a Ph.D. in Management from the University of Strasbourg and holds a Master’s degree in International Business from The Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business (University College Dublin). He began his career in the United States in an international education program based in Denver, Colorado. Kevin Mac Gabhann then worked in Japan for OP-NET (Overseas Preparation Network) whose mission is to prepare future Japanese expatriates to live and work in the United States and Europe.
Since moving to Strasbourg in 2000, he has successively worked for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the European Higher Institute of Management (ISEG), the National School of Administration (ENA) and finally for EM Strasbourg. Since 2006, Kevin is Associate Professor at the Strasbourg School of Management and his research interests include international human resources management, intercultural management, intercultural training and diversity management.
His thesis, on the management of the ethnocultural diversity of patients in a hospital context, was presented in October 2012. He also acts as a consultant in management and intercultural training and has worked locally with multinationals such as Merck-Millipore and Steelcase. He has regularly represented EM Strasbourg in the United States, Mexico, Ireland and Italy.
