Stevens Institute of Technology is a premier, private research university situated in Hoboken, New Jersey, overlooking the Manhattan skyline. Stevens is home to three National Centers of Excellence, as well as dozens of joint research programs, facilities and centers focused on critical industries such as cybersecurity, defense, energy, finance, healthcare, homeland and maritime security, STEM education and urban and coastal resilience.

Founded in 1870 by America’s First Family of Inventors  — who patented steam ferries and the modern form of railroad track, among many other inventions — technological innovation has remained the hallmark of Stevens’ education and research programs ever since.

Stevens offers 35 undergraduate majors, 40+ master’s degree programs, 21 Ph.D. programs and 100+ graduate certificates, allowing students many possibilities for study.

 The School of Business, which is accredited by AACSB, offers eight undergraduate majors,  eleven master’s programs and five doctoral degrees. Most of the programs are STEM-designated, allowing students to work after graduation without change of visa. Programs focus on such areas as analytics, management, finance, financial analytics, information systems, project management, marketing, and many more. The school is highly recognized as a leader institution at the intersection of business and technology. In the 2020 rankings of US News & World Report, the School was ranked no. 11 in the USA in terms of reputation among corporate recruiters.

The School of Business at Stevens Institute of Technology employs a cross-disciplinary approach to graduate and undergraduate education, emphasizing management training with an emphasis on the opportunities possible through analytics and technology. The school also administers many onsite corporate programs with companies like JP Morgan, Verizon, Pfizer, Astra Zeneca, UBS, and Boeing; offers a Field Consulting Program in collaboration with industry; and features advisory boards packed with leaders in industry. In addition, the school maintains vital partnerships with key industry via the Stevens Alliance for Innovation and Leadership (SAIL) and the Consortium for Corporate Entrepreneurship (CCE). The School is active in AACSB — Dean Prastacos is the co-chair of the AACSB Digital Transformation Affinity Group and is leading the effort of about 60 Universities to revamp the management curriculum for the digital era.
