The University of Economics in Bratislava (UEBA) is considered to be one of the most important educational and scientific-research institutions in the Slovak Republic.

UEBA was founded in 1940 as historically the first Higher Education Institution focused on Economics, Business and Management studies in Slovakia. Nowadays, UEBA teaches approximately 12,000 full-time and part-time students in 19 Bachelor, 31 Master and 16 Doctoral Study programs74 full professors and over 100 associate professors create strong potencial of economic research.

UEBA is organized into seven faculties: F. of National Economy, Faculty of Comerce, F. of Economic Informatics, F. of Business Management, F of International Relations, F. of Applied Languages with the seat in the main campus in Bratislava and F. of Business Economics with the seat in Kosice.

University of Economics in Bratislava offers more than 80 individual courses taught in foreign languages (English, German, French, Spanish and Russian) and three full study programmes in English, German and French language and double and joint degrees with partners from Europe. Internationalization of teaching and research is one of the main objectives for University and it is supported with numerous cooperation agreements with institutions in Europe and worldwide which allows to increase the mobility of students, researchers and professors.

UEBA belongs to the most sucessful Higher Education Institutions in the Slovak Republic with regard to the number of its students sent for study periods and practical placement abroad UEBA was included twice in the “ERASMUS Success Stories”published by the European Commission.
