The Universidad de Granada, founded in 1531, continues a long teaching tradition, the roots of which can be traced back to the madrasahs of the last Nasrid Kingdom. The University has grown in close symbiosis with society and has become a benchmark in terms of both the quality of its teaching and research and, with a particular emphasis, its cooperation and development activities. The various Campuses, which are spread all over the city, combined with the historical and heritage buildings in some of the most unique neighbourhoods of Granada, re-energise the University. The centres located in the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla further expand the scope of the University’s varied panorama.

The city of Granada is located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Its unique history has bestowed it with an artistic grandeur embracing Moorish palaces and Christian Renaissance treasures. As the last Moorish capital on the Iberian peninsula, it also holds great symbolic value. Granada is of course known of the city with the Alhambra as well as a place to practice skiing in winter, and to visit some beautiful Mediterranean Sea’s beaches in summertime.

The Faculty of Economics and Business Studies was founded in 1934, as the Business School of Granada. In 1970 it was made into a University School and in 1989 into the Faculty of Business and Economic Studies. Currently offers five undergraduate programmes: Business Management, Economics, Marketing, Accountability and Finances and Tourism Management, as well as three master degrees in Economics, Marketing and Consumer Behavior and Business Management.
