The HERMES University Network is pleased to announce the 2026 edition of its Research Mobility Seed Grants — a flagship initiative supporting short-term research stays between HERMES member institutions. Now in its latest cycle, the programme provides €1,500 in lump-sum seed funding per project to cover travel and accommodation costs associated with the mobility period.
The grants are open to scholars and doctoral candidates across three career tracks, each with its own objectives, duration, and expectations. Whether you are a PhD candidate seeking to advance your dissertation, an early career researcher consolidating an independent research agenda, or an established scholar looking to initiate high-impact cross-institutional collaboration, this programme offers a concrete opportunity to deepen your engagement with the HERMES network.
Submission deadline: 10 June 2026
Grant amount: €1,500 per project
